The Praxis Collective operates as an online learning platform designed to forge thriving communities where masters of their craft guide dedicated seekers in turning knowledge into tangible mastery. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Important: These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Praxis Collective. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Praxis Collective platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

You must be at least 13 years old to use our platform. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use our services.

2. Platform Description

The Praxis Collective provides:

  • Course Creation & Consumption: Instructors can create courses; students can enroll and learn
  • Community Building: Users can create and join learning communities
  • Live Events: Virtual workshops, webinars, and interactive sessions
  • AI Study Buddy Matching: Algorithm-powered learning partnerships
  • Gamification: Points, badges, and achievement systems
  • Direct Messaging: Peer-to-peer communication tools

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Accounts & Responsibilities

Account Creation: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Account Types:

  • Students: Can enroll in courses, join communities, attend events
  • Instructors: Can create and manage courses, communities, and events
  • Administrators: Platform management and oversight capabilities

Account Security: You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. You are liable for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you create (courses, posts, comments). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on our platform.

Platform Content: The Praxis Collective platform, including its design, functionality, and proprietary algorithms, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

User-Generated Content Guidelines:

  • Content must be original or properly licensed
  • No copyrighted material without permission
  • No false, misleading, or harmful information
  • Respect intellectual property rights of others

5. Payment & Subscriptions

Subscription Tiers:

  • Seeker ($29/month): Basic access to courses and communities
  • Master ($79/month): Course creation and advanced features
  • Collective ($149/month): Full platform access and premium tools

Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Instructor Revenue: Instructors receive 80% of course sales revenue. The platform retains 20% to cover operational costs and platform development.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.

6. Community Guidelines

Our community thrives on respect, learning, and collaboration. All users must:

  • Treat others with respect and kindness
  • Engage constructively in discussions
  • Respect diverse perspectives and backgrounds
  • Provide helpful, accurate information
  • Report inappropriate behavior
  • Respect privacy and confidentiality

Zero Tolerance: We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, spam, or any behavior that undermines the learning environment.

7. Instructor Responsibilities

Instructors on our platform must:

  • Provide accurate course descriptions and learning outcomes
  • Deliver high-quality, educational content
  • Respond to student questions in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional conduct at all times
  • Update course content to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Respect student privacy and data
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Course Quality Standards: We reserve the right to review and remove courses that do not meet our quality standards or violate these terms.

8. Prohibited Activities

You may not use our platform to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious software or code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Scrape or harvest user data
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others
  • Engage in commercial activities outside our marketplace
  • Distribute spam or unwanted communications
  • Post offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content
  • Interfere with the platform's operation

9. Privacy & Data Protection

10. Limitation of Liability

Service Availability: We strive to maintain platform availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for temporary outages or service interruptions.

Content Accuracy: While we encourage high-quality content, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of user-generated content.

Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

Your Right to Terminate: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team or through your account settings.

Our Right to Terminate: We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to paid features ends immediately. Your content may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
